Birth Checklists
Planning - Soon To Be Parents
Your baby will be here before you know it! After you have your sweet baby, you’ll be on “limited activity” - ideally staying at home - for three weeks. YES! THREE WEEKS. Take a moment to think about what you will need for your family, yourself and your baby for three weeks.
We will do a birth planning session at 34-weeks and review what you need to know for your planned home birth or birth center birth and water birth in either location.

Planning: Extended Family
Your family is also curious how they can best support you in the early days and weeks as you are finding your way into the “new normal.”
We have prepared a letter to give to your family members explaining what you need following your home birth or birth center birth with Frisco Midwifery. This article is intended to help establish reasonable expectations for your family members. It’s important that you have people who are coming to help you so you can care for the baby. That’s not the same as having them come over to “see the baby.”
This letter helps make it clear that people are welcome to come help you - and specifically how that looks.
